Traditional Chinese bathhouse ideas are reinterpreted as a setting for contemporary wellness and communal life within the Fusuijing residential block. Timber rooms, bathing spaces and shared circulation create a sequence between domestic scale and collective urban living.

Bathing within the city.
Shared bathing and wellness spaces are introduced within the existing residential block. The plan brings individual rooms into a network of shared circulation.

The perspective section connects the scale of the room to the timber frame. The accompanying studies focus on the assembled connection, its components and the column base.

Enclosure, timber structure and changing light shape the passage between bathing rooms and collective spaces.
